A welcome step towards imparting quality ayurveda education:
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has laid the foundation stone of Chaudhary Brahm Perkash Delhi Rajkiya Charak Ayurvedic Sansthaan at Khera Dabar near Najafgarh . The new institute would be developed on the lines of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences.
The objective behind setting up the institute is to promote use of Ayurveda as a good alternative to modern medicine, develop use of modern techniques for the teaching of Ayurveda, promote research and development of Ayurveda, evolve pharmaceutical standards and bring Ayurvedic formulation to internationally accepted standards.[New Ayurvedic Institute in lines with AIIMS]
